Brasa de Brazil is a newly-opened restaurant on the island offering a sparkling menu to tingle the taste-buds of Bahrain's discerning diners.
Rodizio, a south Brazilian cuisine, is the main attraction at the Seef Mall's new extension venue which offers a spacious, yet cozy, eating arena alongside a lounge serving authentic Brazilian drinks and coffee.
Waiters dressed as Brazilian cowboys or 'gauchos' welcome customers before serving meals that are guaranteed to satisfy even the hungriest of diners.
A selection of 11 cuts of meat are on offer including fillet mignon, Brazilian-style picanha (beef on a skewer), sirloin steak, chicken wrapped in beef bacon, lamb, ostrich and camel as well as a variety of seafood, including hammour and shrimp.
A unique feature of the venue is a traffic signal-style table marker system. Green means 'Sim, Por Favor or 'keep it going' and red - Nao, Obrigado - states ... I'm full!'
Accompaniments include five types of sauces, 20 varieties of salads, two choices of soups, Brazilian feijoda (black beans with smoked beef sausage), roasted potatoes, steamed vegetables and rice.
Desserts range from molten rock chocolate cake, tiramisu to a variety of fondue choices.
Bringing his own sense of flavour to the mix is Executive Chef of parent company MIA Holding, Eltaief Ameur. He also manages the kitchen at Brasa de Brazil's Saudi Arabia outlet.
Born in Tunisia, Chef Ameur, 36, has 15 years of culinary experience in continental, Italian, French, Indian, Chinese, Filipino and Arabic cuisine. He worked with various hospitality organisations in Tunisia before moving to Saudi Arabia in 1997.
After three years he returned to Tunisia but in 2008 he once again took up an offer in Saudi Arabia, working with MIA Holding.
Chef Ameur took his earliest cooking lessons assisting his mother in the kitchen. At the age of 16, in search of work to support his family, he took up employment as a cook and has never looked back.
His cooking prowess has even inspired him to start compiling a recipe book, which he hopes to make available to restaurant-goers and his fans soon. He said: "I am really interested in fusion cooking and hope to complete my book soon."
The restaurant will soon be introducing a seafood cart allowing customers to choose their own fish and have it prepared just the way they like it.
Shakeel Agha, business development director of MIA Holding, said that the company plans to expand the Brasa De Brazil brand across Qatar, Dubai and Kuwait.
The company also owns the popular New York Coffee, which was founded in 1999 and opened in Bahrain the following year.
Mr Agha said: "New York Coffee now sports outlets in Adliya, Hamala, Manama and the Seef District. We plan to have greater store numbers here as well as throughout the GCC."

Picaniah Marination
Ingredients:
Half a litre of corn oil
1 spoon of English Mustard
1 teaspoon of crushed pepper
10ml Worcestershire sauce
1 spoon of garlic paste
1 spoon of sea salt
Directions:
Marinate beef (1kg) with the above for 24 hours, then grill to preference.
