Top German chef joins the Moevenpick

Executive Chef Holger Lang, pictured below, has taken control of the kitchen at the Moevenpick Hotel Bahrain in Muharraq.

Boasting more than 20 years of experience in international hospitality, he studied for a Kitchen Master Draft degree at the prestigious Hotel College in Rotenberg, Germany.

Prior to his appointment, he was executive chef at Kempinski High Tatras, a lake-side luxury resort in Pleso, Slovakia.

The German chef has spent most of his career in his home country, Portugal and Switzerland and also gained experience in Saudi Arabia working at the Sheraton Jeddah Hotel and Villas.

He started his career in 1988 at Restaurant Schlossbrau in Germany and was promoted to executive chef in 2003.

The star chef excels in a variety of cooking styles having experience dishing up Italian, Asian and European delights.
