TOYOTA Motor Corporation's Bahrain representative office confirmed that US-based Consumer Reports has lifted the warning on its Lexus 2010 GX460 model after the vehicle passed a full series of emergency tests.
It reiterated that vigorous investigations and diligent efforts were made by the company's engineers within two weeks to address the situation and provide an update of the stability control system for the Lexus 2010 GX460.
They also mentioned that the patience, support and loyalty of customers was highly appreciated and 'customer safety and satisfaction have always been, and will always, remain top priority'.
Consumer Reports is published by Consumers Union, an expert, independent and non-profit organisation and is among the top 10 circulated magazines in the US. CR stated that they did not experience any safety concerns with the updated GX460 during handling tests.
An update for the 2010 Lexus GX460 and Toyota Prado VXL V6 Stability Control system is available at Lexus and Toyota dealers in the region.
