IN 2008, Zee Network, the world's biggest provider of Hindi programmes, launched Zee Aflam, a free-to-air television channel featuring Hindi films subtitled and adapted specially for Arab family viewing.
Showcasing Bollywood movies in four popular categories - romance, comedy, drama and musicals - ranging from the latest Bollywood blockbusters to timeless classics, the channel has quickly become one of the most popular home-entertainment channels across the region.
"That's why, on Friday, June 4, Zee Aflam wants nothing more than to celebrate its birthday with you, by doing what we do best: bringing you all the passion, all the excitement and all the charm of Bollywood - all in Arabic and all day long!" a spokesman said.
