Wednesday (Nov 17) The Bahrain City Centre is holding a special 'Enter to Win' raffle draw for children along with popular live characters, clowns, and Mad Science fun activities from today until Saturday.

Children will have a chance to win one of over 200 prizes by entering a free raffle draw. They can collect their complimentary raffle coupons from kids' stores on the second level or the customer service desks and win plenty of gifts. In addition, everyday between 11am and 10pm on Level 2 near the kids' stores area, children will be able to meet and take photos with characters including Mickey Mouse, Winnie The Pooh, SpongeBob SquarePants, Barney, Goofy, Um Khamas, and Teletubbies' Lala. Clowns will be distributing balloons and complimentary raffle coupons to children throughout the day.

There will also be Mad Science fun stations located in the kids' area to entertain and educate the children with fun and unusual science experiments.

Mums in Bahrain is hosting an Eid family breakfast and activities at the Cafe Ceramique on the top floor at A'ali Shopping Complex in Seef from 9am to 11.30am. The event will include a full breakfast buffet, tea, coffee, juice, sand art, face painting, colouring and a gift bag for each child. Cost is BD5 and free for children below seven.

The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam will be organising a reception for well-known businessman Ali Hassan of Al Noor Group. It will be followed by a musical concert featuring finalists of renowned Indian reality show 'Idea Star Singer'. For details contact 17251878.

Friday (Nov 19)

The Bahrain 6-Hour Bike Festival will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit today and tomorrow featuring several fun and entertainment activities. Families can enjoy a day out while 19 teams from around the world battle for victory. The participating teams, a majority of whom are from all over the world, will also be making appearances in the paddock area, giving a chance for Bahrain's fans to rub shoulders with some of the world's greatest motorbike racers.

A special games corner will be set up where children can enjoy different activities such as a miniature train ride, art and craft stations, stalls for pottery-making and parlour games, face-painting and a jumping castle.

Olive Tree in collaboration with Picasso Production alongside FTV Arabia will host a weekend of fashion, luxury and entertainment at the Amwaj Marina.

Under the 'Glitz and Glam' theme, FTV Beach Party Weekend 2010 is set with a plethora of entertainment. The event will feature international female DJs namely DJ Mary Swan, DJ Miss Roxx and DJ Elite. Regular tickets are BD15 for women and BD20 for men. Beach beds for five persons will cost BD250 including a beverage bottle, a table for eight for BD300 including a beverage bottle. Synergy Middle East in association with the Bahrain Keraleeya Samaajam will present the Soorya Festival at the club's premises in Segaiya at 7.30pm. White truffles specialty at the Italian signature restaurant Primavera at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa until November 29. Acclaimed Italian Chef de Cuisine Christian Frigo showcases the white truffle's unique flavour in a variety of specially prepared dishes. The menu offers delicacies such as homemade tagliolini with white truffle butter and parmesan cheese, truffle risotto with foie gras and Madera reduction, veal tortelli with braised veal sauce, white truffle and parmesan chips or oven roasted wild caught sea bass with potatoes and truffle cream as well as pan fried US milk fed veal chop with black truffle sauce and white truffle.

Bahraini artist Jaffar Al Oraibi, in conjunction with his current solo exhibition 'The Man' being held at Al Riwaq Art Space in Adliya till December 2, will be giving a talk on his practice and works at 7pm. The talk will be in Arabic and will be translated into English. This event is free and open to the public.
