BRITISH actor Daniel Foley held a workshop for the cast members of MASK (Music and Stage for Kids) Bahrain's forthcoming production of Bugsy Malone.

The young thespians were given some expert tips about voice projection and stage balance by the performer at Sar Music Centre on Saturday following his successful presentation of 'Shakespeare for Dummies' at the British Club the night before.

Daniel, of Performance Exchange, which tours thought-provoking theatre to destinations around the world, said: "I was very impressed by the youngsters - they showed immense talent and enthusiasm."

Daniel trained at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama and is a friend of Bugsy Malone producer Carrie Bell and her husband Ian, a civil engineer. "This was a great opportunity for the cast to get training from a very experienced professional," Carrie said.

The show will be staged in February.
