The British School of Bahrain will host an International Family Fair on December 3 from 11am to 4pm at its school premises in Hamala. The fair will showcase and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the school's community, who come from 61 different countries.

Among the attractions of the day are a tea room and Santa's Grotto, a DJ contest and live entertainment by the school's student body. A live pottery stall from A'ali will also provide an opportunity for everyone to try their hand at pottery making.

Tickets will be available for BD1 from Sunday at the school.

The American Women's Association (AWA) will host its fundraising Cherry Tree Trot event on December 4 at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. Funds raised will benefit local charities. Entry is BD4 for children aged 10 to 17 and BD6 for 18 and above. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, a light meal and a drink as well as a raffle ticket. A walkathon will also be held. Entry is free for children under six and BD1 for everyone above six. Registration is open online and T-shirts plus race numbers can be collected on December 2 between 4pm and 8pm at a venue to be selected shortly. The Bahrain Welsh Society will hold a traditional Christmas carol sing-along followed by a dinner and festive disco at Candles in the Dilmun Club on December 8. Doors open at 7.30pm. Entry is BD10 for members and BD11 for non-members. Tickets are on sale until November 30 at Alosra Supermarket from 10am to 12pm and at the Dilmun Club until December 1 from 7-9pm.
