Mambo CafŽ provides a relaxing atmosphere offering diners and shisha lovers a cosy haven as well as a rich variety of cuisines to choose from on the menu.

The cafŽ is situated in the newly-developed neighbourhood of Tubli Bay and is neatly hidden away from the heavy traffic on the highway.

Decorated in bright fresh colours, attractive sketches and drawings adorn the walls.

The cafŽ features a beverage and dessert bar offering a variety of cakes, coffee and tea.

Mastering the kitchen is Head Chef Mohammed Mizanu Rahman who has been instrumental in cultivating the cafŽ's culinary fare for four years.

With 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Mohammed moved to Bahrain six years ago when he took up an opportunity to join a hotel.

His love of cooking developed at an early age and he recalls how much he enjoyed watching his mother in the kitchen as a child and soon developed a dream to work as a chef and earn enough money to help support his family.

He started his career as a trainee cook in a coffee shop before progressing to larger kitchens in leading hotels. Chef Mohammed, 30, who now lives in Jidali, said: "I feel very comfortable working in a cafŽ atmosphere and so I really enjoy working here at Mambo."

His specialties include Arabic, Indian, Oriental, Mexican and continental cuisines and some of the favourites amongst the menu include biriyanis, chicken spicy flay sandwich and jacket potatoes with an array of fillings.

The cafŽ also offers customers free internet connectivity and is open daily from 8am to 2am.

Chef Mohammed shares a recipe with GulfWeekly readers.
