The grand finale of the two-month-long Bahrain Financing Company-sponsored inter-club Goodwill Games 2010 conducted by the Indian Club takes place on Friday.
For the first time The Indian Club has brought many of the regional Indian clubs and associations together to interact and participate in indoor and outdoor sporting events vying for a total prize money pot of $1,000, individual trophies and medals.
The event, co-sponsored by BMMI, attracted 1,500 participants from 13 clubs and associations. The indoor games included badminton, table tennis, chess, caroms, snooker, Cards-56 and Mendicot. The outdoor sports played were tennis, cricket, volleyball, football and athletics.
Indoor Games secretary T. V. Varghese was the chief co-ordinator of the event and was assisted by Hari R. Unnithan, C. M. Junith & Mrs Jayashree Nair.
The grand finale and closing ceremony will take place on December 10 at 7pm. All participants and their families are urged to attend.
