The Bahrain Irish Society will present UK-based ABBA tribute FABBAGIRLS live in concert on February 17 at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel. The Bahraini French Business Club (CAFB) and the French Embassy of Bahrain will organise the French Week 2011 from February 23 to March 1. It will also host a delegation of French businessmen as well as members of the Franco-Arab Chamber of Commerce, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, the Bahrain France Business Club and the French Embassy for a three-day workshop from February 27.

Batelco will host a week-long Formula One event 'F1 FanZone' free of charge from March 7 to 13.

F1 FanZone in conjunction with Formula One Administration (FOA) has created the official live viewing event for F1 fans. The international festival, which is a first for Bahrain, will be held at the Amwaj Islands Marina and promises a great day out for family.

During the week visitors will have the opportunity to try out F1 race car simulators, take part in the Pit Stop Challenge or have their photo taken on the 'winners podium'. A special feature, designed especially for young children, is the F1 Kids Zone which includes activities such as a children's driving school.

Additionally, competitions will be held every hour giving visitors the chance to win fantastic prizes. Throughout the week, a variety of live bands and performers will entertain the crowd and official F1 driver autograph sessions will take place. Visitors will also be able to purchase official team merchandise at retail kiosks located throughout the site.

There will also be live coverage of all the action from the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. The practice sessions and qualifying rounds will also be featured on the giant screens at the Amwaj Marina site.

The second Bahrain Grand Clearance Sale will be held at the Bahrain Exhibition and Conference Centre in Sanabis from May 1 to 7. With up to 4,000 sq m of shops, the event will have on sale a variety of bargains on products including clothing, shoes, electronics, furniture, perfumes, cosmetics and much more.
