Wahooo! Waterpark won four prestigious international marketing awards for 2011 from the highest international body for waterparks around the world.
The World Waterpark Association organises the annual WAVE Review Awards for Marketing Excellence in waterparks from around the world.
Wahooo! Waterpark Bahrain was selected for Best Brochure, Best In-Park Promotion, Best Radio Commercial and Best Website. Wahooo! will be awarded four plaques at a special ceremony during the 31st Annual Symposium & Trade Show in New Orleans, Louisiana, US.
The event is the world’s largest gathering of water-leisure professionals and development experts and will be held from October 3-7. There were 12 award categories and the judging criteria were originality, creativity, innovation and overall excellence.
“We are thrilled to receive this honour,” said Wahooo! marketing manager Shama Uchil.
“We won awards in two categories last year. So I expected to win awards this year too. However, winning in four categories is simply amazing. It has been a challenging year for many businesses in Bahrain. Immense hard work and creativity has gone in to carving a unique marketing strategy for Wahooo!
“It feels great to be recognised as the best in the industry by the World Waterpark Association. I have to commend the efforts of our very small marketing team coupled with support from our agencies Reid Marketing and New Age Computers.”
World Waterpark Association director of park member development, Aleatha Ezra, described Wahooo!’s performance as ‘quite an accomplishment for everyone who is part of your top-notch marketing and creative team’.
The World Waterpark Association is an international non-profit organisation with approximately 1,000 members that comprises of waterparks owners/operators and suppliers.
