The fourth Nescafé Show ‘Em What U Got talent competition is inviting entries for a pre-screening on September 8, 9, 15 and 16 at the Pars International Hotel, Juffair, on September 22 at Alliance Francaise de Bahrein, Isa Town and on September 29 and 30 at Barcode Restaurant in Manama between 5pm and 8pm. Official auditions will be held on October 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 at Virgin Megastore, Bahrain City Centre, at the same times followed by two elimination rounds on October 27 and 28 at the Cultural Hall, next to Bahrain National Museum. Semi-finals will be held on November 4 also at the Cultural Hall, followed by the grand finale on November 11 at the same venue from 8.30pm. The second annual edition of the Anime and video games convention, Animania, is set to be held at the Prestige Hall in Adhari Park on September 10. The event will include the cosplay contest where a panel of judges will choose the best anime/video game character from the audience. There will also be a contest for anime/video games skits, a scavenger hunt and gaming tournaments. The Movie Hall will display the latest in anime cinema. The Indian Club will host the ‘Oh to be in Bandra’ festival on September 29 and 30 at its premises. After the recent successful Summer Biathlon, a series of similar events will be staged later this year. A sprint triathlon will take place on October 14 featuring a 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run. An Olympic triathlon will be held on November 4 featuring a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and a 10km run and the Half Ironman triathlon will be held on December 2 featuring a 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run.
