The Whisperer

NO-ONE was more upset than the Whisperer when Bahrain’s bid to get its F1 race rescheduled this season was thwarted following a menacing barrage of untruths by protesters and an ill-informed on-line international campaign.

However, with Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel all but tying up the championship by winning the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday perhaps we haven’t really missed anything but an anti-climax.

The 24-year-old German yet again led from pole to flag to see off the challenge of Jenson Button to move 124 points clear of the Briton with just 125 available and edge closer to becoming Formula One’s youngest double world champion.

Vettel’s Red Bull team mate Mark Webber, who managed to suffer an attack of amnesia over Australia’s dastardly behaviour to its indigenous Aborigine population whilst putting the boot into Bahrain as the drivers’ so-called socially-aware spokesman, completed the podium a further 27.5 seconds back.
