New Royal Golf Club member Simon Brebner narrowly scooped the top prize at the inaugural Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel Bahrain City Centre Golf Day after the countback system was used to separate the top four players who all finished on 36 points.
Eui Mo Koo and 12-year-old Deanna Ngo finished second and third respectively.
Lady Vice Captain Rowena Faerch and Ray Bruhn scooped the longest drive side contests while Deanna Ngo and Ronan Armstrong both won the nearest the pin competitions.
Over 100 members and guests took part in the stableford competition which was played on the Royal Golf Club’s Montgomerie championship course in strong winds but pleasantly cool temperatures.
“Kempinski are a five star hotel and this has certainly been a five star event,” said John Wilson, the Royal Golf Club’s golf operations & events manager. “Everything from the organisation to the players’ goody bags has been such high quality.
