Dadabhai Travel Hockey were crowned winners of the 2nd Bahrain 6s Field Hockey Tournament. The competition was hosted by the Bahrain Hockey Association on Friday  at St Christopher School in Saar.

In a hard-fought final, Dadabhai led by experienced captain Avalon Martin, played out a thrilling game against the Daredevils, led by Shon Fernandes. The final score was 1 – 0.

Both teams adopted an attacking style right from the start, with fullback Charles Forward netting the solitary goal in the second half past Daredevils custodian, Jason D’Souza.

The Daredevils kept attacking the Dadabhai Travel Hockey defence but keeper Chris Bloodworth proved to be a formidable force making several acrobatic saves.

In the semi-finals, Dadabhai Hockey saw off the Hungry Hamours 1-0 while the Daredevils edged the Royal Challengers on penalty strokes.

The MVP of the tournament was awarded to Charles Forward while the best goalie was awarded to Clifford Correia of the Royal Challengers, who also picked the fair play trophy for his team. The tournament was sponsored by Gulf Agency Company and Dadabhai Travel.
