Skoda says it has ‘redefined perfection’ in the executive car segment with the new Superb, its luxury sedan. Sharp, chiselled looks define the exterior of the vehicle, with quad-exhaust tips finishing the rear with a touch of sporting essence.
The biggest surprise, however, for customers will be in discovering how exceedingly well-equipped the Skoda Superb is. The package includes automatic adaptive xenon headlights, fog lamps, 18inch sport alloy wheels wrapped with high-performance tyres, puddle-lamps beneath the exterior mirrors, a rich suede-leather interior, a television screen with satellite navigation, a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel with paddle-shifters at the back and controls for the radio, telephone and cruise control.
Its park assist reverses the car into a parking space and the sunroof with solar-cells in them will keep the interior of the car cool if it is left parked outside during the day.
Skoda’s engineers have also endowed the Superb with a powerful 3.6ltr six-cylinder engine that pumps out 260bhp. Safety-wise it comes equipped with advanced driver and front passenger airbags as standard as well as anti-lock brakes and an electronic stability programme.
The Skoda Superb starts at BD12,000 and is available at the Ahmed Zayani & Sons showroom in Zinj. Call 17238822, 36848944 or 39058360 for more details.
