Music Box

One of my first jobs after leaving school was working for a nationally famous car parts retailer helping customers identify the correct items needed to service and repair their current pride and joy, as they attempted to save some pennies on inflated garage bills.
 
Many a time we were left standing behind the counter, in bewilderment – considering the naive, usually strange and normally completely stupid questions and answers we had to handle.

My favourite, has to be the time a lady had been sent in by her husband to buy some spark plugs – naturally I asked her what type of car she had, to which the answer was “oh, a red one, of course!”.

But these kinds of conversations are not confined to cars – working in sports bars you innocently ask customers which team they are supporting on the TV and the replies have included ‘the team in blue’, ‘the ones in the stripy tops’ and even ‘the side that is winning’. So maybe people do pick a favourite sporting team due to their appearance and if this is you then let’s play some music with a hint of colour:

I would also mention any song from one of my favourite bands Deep Purple, but we’d be here all day so let’s wind this little ramble up with a strange thought for the day: There would be fewer problems with children if they had to chop wood to keep the television set working.
