Gulf Weekly Bahrain debut for ML 63 AMG

The new ML 63 AMG has made its debut in Bahrain at Mercedes-Benz dealers Al Haddad Motors.

General manager Graeme Newport and sales manager Mark Price believe the third generation of the popular model offers improved performance standards and a ‘superlative driving experience’.

Powered by a new AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine, the new ML 63 generates 525 bhp and 700 Nm of torque. In conjunction with the AMG Performance package these values rise to 557 bhp and 760 Nm and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and 4.7 seconds respectively.

Power transmission to all four permanently driven wheels is performed by the AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic system which automatically double-declutches for downshifting. New on this generation is the Active Curve System which provides roll stabilisation at high speeds.

Mr Price explained: “As you would expect from Mercedes and AMG, there is a sporty character and the premium quality of the interior defines this high-performance SUV from AMG.”

Mr Newport said the AMG is celebrating its 45th anniversary, and the current AMG model range is becoming larger and more varied than ever.
Prices start from BD44,500.
