Flagship model boasts high-tech features

Kia hopes it’s new luxury flagship model the Quoris will power the brand into an entirely new segment of the global automotive market.  

The first modern rear-wheel drive Kia will combine style with luxurious comfort, engaging driving dynamics and advanced high-tech features, its designers say.

“Quoris is our first rear-wheel drive sedan for more than a decade and sets new standards for advanced design, new technologies and driving performance,” said Thomas Oh, Kia’s executive vice president and COO of the International Business Division.

“The name ‘Quoris’ conveys solidity, luxury and high-technology, all resonating together as a chorus. The name is derived from the English words ‘core’ and ‘quality’ and hints at the attributes within the very heart our new flagship. 

“Our decision to adopt this unconventional name means Quoris will stand out even further.”

The model boasts the stance of a premium sedan, V6 engine and eight-speed transmission, rear-wheel drive characteristics, ‘active’ safety technologies, Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Advanced Vehicle Safety Management, class-leading Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assistance, Lane Departure Warning System, Around View Monitor system.

It also sets new standards in comfort and convenience thanks to its spacious interior, large glass sunroof, premium Lexicon audio system and multi-media rear seat entertainment.

The Kia Quoris is expected to launched next month in Bahrain by A. A. Bin Hindi, the marque’s exclusive distributor in the kingdom. Prices will be announced shortly.
