A field of nearly 80 players took part in Awali Golf Club’s annual sponsored strokeplay competition, the A&E Corona Classic.
The players had to contend with breezy conditions gusting to 30 knots, especially in the morning. Onny Martin was not fazed by the conditions and emerged the overall winner, and the reluctant recipient of a one-stroke handicap cut to temper his euphoria. A&E representative Kate Gibson presented the prizes to the winners.
