Simon Brebner battled wind speeds of up to 40 knots to seal top place in the Euro Motors BMW Monthly Medal Series competition at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 78.
He was closely followed by impressive youngster Deanna Ngo who claimed second place with a nett score of 79.

Wayne Giles took top spot in the second division with 79 nett, one shot ahead of Tony Bridgens who finished second with nett 80.

In the third division Paddy Gallagher shot a nett 80 to secure top spot by two shots over runner-up Karin Lutz. However, Lutz’s runners-up place probably felt like a win after she achieved a hole-in-one on the very tricky par 3 second hole.

“We do see quite a few hole-in-ones here at the Royal Golf Club,” said John Wilson, the club’s golf sales & events manager. “However, for Karin to get one in such high winds and on one of the toughest par 3 holes on the course is a great achievement.”

All the winners progress to the Euro Motors BMW Grand Final to be held in December.
