The Ecco Monday Stableford Series came to an end for quarter two with 19-year-old IIya Goniker fighting off strong competition from Royal Golf Club PGA Professional Chris McDonnell to win the Order of Merit title.
Goniker’s 21 points gave him a winning margin of four points over defending champion McDonnell, who finished on 17 points. In total Goniker won the weekly event three times throughout the quarter.
The Ecco Monday Stableford takes place on the Club’s Montgomerie championship course at 1.30pm every Monday and sees members battle it out against the Club’s PGA Professionals. The quarterly winners each receive a pair of Ecco golf shoes as their prize.
