During a visit to my favourite burger joint, Hard Rock Café in Hoora, I was enticed by more than just the sumptuous smells from the kitchen.

Located towards the back of the outlet is the Hard Rock boutique, a cool little store which sells a selection of branded merchandise ranging from clothing to key rings.

I spotted a young man checking out their ‘rockabilia’ for BD8.5 next to a sign which said when you purchase any of their items, you receive 20 per cent off.

With sizes S–XXL, they also have ladies clothing and items for youngsters too.

During an earlier visit while attending Hard Rock’s trivia night with GulfWeekly photographer Ryan Bayona, we found Hard Rock’s collection of watches.

I was searching for a man’s casual watch with a rugged style. Not only are they really funky, but they’re priced so well at BD25 and with 20 per cent off that’s BD20. This watch had a leather band with white stitching and a few studs with both standard clock face and digital with back beam light in blue. This received Ryan’s ‘cool factor’ approval and is my ‘deal of the week’.

Before I head back to the ‘True North’ this summer I am grabbing a few of their white baby-tees for my nieces adorned with an electric blue guitar marked ‘Hard Rock Couture’ for BD8.5; with the 20 per cent off deal that’s BD6.8 and a great souvenir.

For the cult-like Sephora followers (while supplies last) the brand is holding a trendy summer-bag giveaway when you spend BD30 on Sephora products. While I was in the shop, I spotted Mags Quinn eyeing up the ‘Crazy Nails’ summer collection while trying on a neon blue nail polish. She noted that at BD3.6 these would make great gifts for folks back in Ireland.

We admired their new trendy acid green, neon brights, reds and crackled polishes in silver and gold. Let’s not forget about their never-ending selection of eye-shadows – when you buy two you receive a palette free.

Pimkie is a French brand that offers the latest fashion at the best price. It is aimed at young girls who are looking for the latest trends and right now they are carrying aztec, jungle fever, floral frenzy and graphic prints from the UK, sizes 6 to 16.

I really like this store because they rotate styles regularly and then it all moves to a corner and prices are slashed from 40 to 60 per cent off.

I caught a young girl shopping for the newest bomber jacket trend, despite the heat and humidity of Bahrain’s summer. Amelyn, a Pimkie store executive, finds that in order to avoid the inevitable primitive goosebumps from those chilly winds abroad, people will shop in Bahrain for their jackets, starting at BD16.5, as it is more cost-effective than buying overseas.

Details of above: Hard Rock Cafe: 20 per cent off all products in Hard Rock Shop.

Sephora: Buy two eye-shadows and receive free palette. Spend BD30 and receive summer tote free.

Pimkie: Rotating sale 40-60 per cent ending today.

Other deals I’m privy to: Nine West / Charles & Keith – Spend BD25 and get BD5 Gift Voucher free until end of Ramadan.

Dune – Spend BD50 and get BD10 Gift Voucher free until end of Ramadan
Inglot – Spend BD20 and get BD4 Gift Voucher free until end of Ramadan
Birkenstock – Buy One Get Second Item for Half Price until end of Ramadan.
