Abdulla Al Hakam won the final Boggi Men’s Night Out competition at the Royal Golf Club with a score of 22 out of a possible 27 points.
Second place went to Paul Quigley with 19 points and sharing third place were Abdulla Ali, Hanne Hansen and Taimur Malik, with 18 points apiece.
The popular PowerPlay series was run weekly throughout Ramadan on the Club’s Wee Monty par 3 course. The format features two flags on every green with the white flag considered the easier option while the tougher black flag pin position offers players a chance to gain double stableford points for nett birdies or better. Each competitor must attempt at least three black flags during the 9-hole round.
Bernie Morgan, head of golf operations & retail at the Royal Golf Club said: “I would like to thank our sponsors Azadea Group Holdings as well as all the participants for making this event a success. The players had to contend with uncomfortable weather conditions and a challenging course but over the past few weeks we have seen some great golf played.”
