THE Grimsby Institute Group have recently launched a blog entitled Learn in the UK to assist those in Bahrain thinking about or already studying in the UK.
Designed to provide international students with the opportunity to interact with the authors and provide their own insights, the new blog will cover topics including pre-arrival information, accommodation, celebrating national holidays in the UK and culture shock.
Students are invited to suggest blog topics, interact with fellow students and ask questions about studying in the UK before their arrival.
www.learnintheuk.com has had a great response in the short time it has been live and we encourage students of all nationalities and cultures to use it as a point of reference when thinking of studying in the UK.
It provides students with a fantastic one-stop site giving comprehensive advice for studying and living in the UK. The site offers guidance from international experts on visa and English language requirements to health and student living.
The site is a great place for students and parents to find out what students who have already studied in the UK think and share opinions and experiences. Visitors to the site can also find out about living expenses, places to visit and all the excellent opportunities an English education has to offer.
Students can use the site to get information prior to making their decision on what to expect in the UK, UKBA requirements and to gather cultural awareness.
This will allow students and their parents to be confident in their choice of the UK as a place to study.
Anyone wishing to use this brand new service can simply visit and sign up to the blog at www.learnintheuk.com

I WAS very impressed to read about the success of Bahrani Sahar Ataei in her role as acting chief financial officer at Gulf Air (P1 last week). We need more women in top jobs here.
