In love with the sun

I am currently writing from a European location that shall remain anonymous … a European location that quite frankly is scaring the life out of me.

It is just past eight o’clock and yet, the sweltering heat from the large omniscient sun still pours down upon us all.

All electronic devices tell me it is well into the evening but the scenery outside tells me otherwise. As someone who has lived in Bahrain for so long, I do not associate my bedtime with sunlight by any stretch of the imagination.

It is no wonder that people here are all such a gorgeous shade of golden brown. They have 12 hours of sunlight!

The heat though, is different to that of Bahrain; in that it is actually tolerable. In Bahrain, I actively avoid sunlight and going outside in the sun, for fear of coming home with all moisture sucked from my body and a brand new skin tone. However, where I currently am, I find myself becoming a bit of a sun worshipper.
