The kingdom’s movers and shakers spent an evening sampling the delights of The Domain Bahrain’s new Japanese restaurant and lounge.

The cool, cosmopolitan Imari restaurant in Manama hosted ministers, company chief executive officers, VIPs, Japanese Ambassador Shigeki Sumi and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman, Minister Essam Fakhro.

Guests last Monday evening were treated to authentic Japanese fare in the funky, modern venue featuring Imari porcelain pieces with its recognisable blue and white illustrations and stunning city views from the 35th floor.

Imari’s team of Japanese chefs served up sizzling skewers from the Robata grill, a wide selection of sushi and ocean-fresh Sashimi prepared Izakaya-style (Japanese tapas) for guests to share.

Visitors also had the option to dine in the formal area or the lively lounge, featuring resident DJ Lady D.
The restaurant is open from 6pm to 2am and GulfWeekly will be putting it under the EatingOut spotlight in the near future.
