Royal Golf Club members and guests gave generously to an aid collection point held at the club over three days for victims of the recent devastating typhoons in the Philippines.
Gifts of new and second hand clothing and bedding as well as long life and tinned food were collected in the club’s marquee by a team of staff volunteers.
All donations have been passed on to the Bahrain Christian Fellowship Church in Manama which is organising a shipment of aid to those in need.
“I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who gave so generously to this important cause,” said DJ Flanders, the Royal Golf Club’s general manager. “I am sure the items donated will be well received by those who lost their homes and possessions in the terrible typhoons last week.”
