Mercedes-Benz is aiming to entice drivers with its sophisticated new E63 AMG 4MATIC S, a model packed with features and enough horse power to satisfy even the most discerning petrol-head.
Launched in the kingdom by Al Haddad Motors, the new model emphasises performance, dynamic purpose and efficiency, its makers say.
Under the bonnet is a powerful 5.5-litre AMG V8 Bi-turbo engine. It features a redesigned, performance-oriented AMG all-wheel-drive system boasting 577bhp and 590lb/ft of torque.
The sleek new model comes with a feature-packed specification list.
Equipment includes a number of packages such as sun-protection, the AMG night package, KEYLESS-GO, rear seat safety as well as Driving Assistance Package PLUS (Blind Spot, Active Lane Assist, Distronic).
The roomy and luxury interior is topped off with a full Designo leather package, active multi-contour seats and climatised front seats.
Graeme Newport, general manager at Al Haddad Motors, said: “This is the most powerful car in the segment, along with having the highest torque. In all the reviews I have read and seen, the new E63 comes out ahead of the competition in all areas – performance, handling, safety and comfort.
“With the newly developed performance-oriented AMG all-wheel-drive system 4MATIC we not only deliver the best acceleration figures in the competitive segment, we also offer our customers markedly better vehicle dynamics than ever before.”
This mean machine makes the dash from 0-100kmph in just 3.5 seconds. In addition to the power increase, compared to its predecessor, the AMG all-wheel-drive system 4MATIC with a power distribution of 33 to 67 per cent (front/rear axle) is also worth bragging about.
Impressive traction during acceleration effectively prevents any losses due to wheel slip and improves road safety and traction on wet roads, which may come in handy with Bahrain’s winter coming into effect. Prices start from BD55,000.
