Gulf Weekly Contest success for foursome

The team of Barry Hobday, Ronan Armstrong, Graeme Newport and Ben Elsworth won the inaugural Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover Golf Tournament at the Royal Golf Club with a team score of 58.8 nett. The event, held as part of GREAT British Week, saw over 130 golfers competing including British Ambassador Iain Lindsay.

The team of Paul Adamson, Robert Mills, Bill Todd and Adrian Morgan took the runners-up spot with a nett score of 59.3 while Mike Topping, Brian Bains, Gavin Ames and Derek Kinnear came third with 59.5 nett.

Prizes included a 2014 Jaguar F-type as a hole in one prize, Jaguar luggage sets, Jaguar test drives and British Airways tickets.

The British Royal Marines Band performed on the club’s practice putting green prior to the tee-off.
