Graeme Newport and playing partner Suban Binrias enjoyed a comfortable win in this week’s NHSC Monday Madness Night Golf Series competition at the Royal Golf Club (RGC) with a nett score of 30.5. The runners-up were Michael Topping & Guillaume Durant with a score of 32.5 nett and the duo of Matthew Boast & James Williamson came a close third with nett 35.
Binrias received an additional prize for coming nearest the pin on the 12th hole and Claus Hansen achieved the same feat on the tricky 16th hole.
The competition was played in the greensomes format on the floodlit back 9 holes of the club’s Montgomerie championship course.
Jason Mejia, RGC’s tournament co-ordinator, presented the prizes.
The 9-hole NHSC Monday Madness Night Golf Series competitions are open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night and tee off every Monday with a 6.30pm shotgun start. To register for the next competition, contact the golf events department on golfevents@theroyalgolfclub.com.
