Gulf Weekly Sachdeva-Khan triumph

Rajinder Sachdeva and playing partner Naeem Khan narrowly won the NHSC Monday Madness Night Golf Series competition at the Royal Golf Club (RGC) with a score of 18 points.

The countback system was needed to separate the duo from runners-up Rob and Debbie Lane after they also achieved a score of 18 points. Kye Ingham and Like Coast took third place with 17 points.

Rob Lane received an additional prize for coming nearest the pin on the 12th hole and David Wales achieved the same feat on the challenging 16th hole.

The win gives Sachdeva and Khan a comfortable lead at the top of the series order of merit. The pair has a total order of merit score of 12 points while their nearest rivals, Matt and Rachael Doyle have eight points.

The competition was played in the Rainbow Challenge format on the floodlit back 9 holes of the club’s Montgomerie championship course. Jason Mejia, RGC’s tournament co-ordinator and Andrew Thomas, key account manager of NHSC, presented the prizes.

The 9-hole NHSC Monday Madness Night Golf Series competitions are open to non-members at BD20 per night and tee off every Monday evening with a 6.30pm shotgun start. To register, contact the Royal Golf Club’s Golf Events Department on email golfevents@theroyalgolfclub.com.
