Tony L. Robinson took first place with a super score of nett-63 at the 46th Abdulla Ali Kanoo Cup strokeplay competition at Awali Golf Club.
The competition was sponsored by YBA Kanoo, continuing sponsorship that started in the 1966/67 season.
Ali Abdulla Kanoo was on-hand to present the prizes, supported by Iain Reed. Kanoo also reminisced fondly about Bill Brien, a late member of Awali Golf Club and an employee of the Kanoo Group for several decades.
Susan Scott was hot on his heels as the overall runner-up, at nett-65, with Sarah Hobday on the same score but losing on countback. A medal was also awarded to the player with the lowest gross score, and Ali Musbah secured that with an impressive gross-70.
