Gulf Weekly New range of SUVs make their mark

National Motors has launched a range of new SUVs in the kingdom, the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban and the 2015 GMC Yukon family.

The 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban offer more functionality, greater refinement, new safety features and an increased range of advanced technologies with the same capability that has made Chevrolet the go-to brand for full-sized SUVs, the company says.

“Chevrolet has a strong market presence and history in the Middle East region with the Tahoe and Suburban,” said Maurice Williams, president and managing director, GM Middle East Operations.

Chevrolet’s full-sized SUVs offer a range of enhancements that include more aerodynamic designs and a new, direct-injected EcoTec3 5.3-litre engine.

Both vehicles offer ample cargo room, with Suburban delivering up to 3,429 litres behind the front seats and Tahoe delivering a maximum of 2,681 litres. They will be available in three trim levels – LS, LT and LTZ, with a choice of 2WD and 4WD.

Meanwhile, the new 2015 GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL and flagship GMC Yukon Denali models aim to deliver greater capability with more power.

The Yukon family is powered by the EcoTec3 engine range, which debuted earlier this year in the 2014 Sierra. A 5.3-litre V8 is standard in Yukon and Yukon XL models, while a 6.2-litre engine is standard in Denali models, which delivers the segment’s best horsepower and torque – SAE-certified 420bhp and 624Nm of torque.
