The new Nissan X-Trail was launched in style during an elaborate event at the marque’s showroom in Sitra.
Brand officials, the media, spectators as well as members of the Almoayyed family attended the event, which saw the latest incarnation of the compact SUV revealed.
One of the highlights of the event was the final of the recent microsite quiz competition. Social media users participated by logging on to the site by using their Facebook or email ID. By scanning the barcodes on the cars, participants had the chance to win a GoPro camera.
Guests were also treated to an energetic breakdance routine by a group of performers flipping, twisting and turning in harmony.
Paul Baker, general manager at Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons, said: “The New X-Trail is just as tough and accomplished as the previous generation model, but adds crossover style and efficiency, exciting design, innovative technology and exceptional comfort to set a new benchmark in the fiercely competitive C-SUV market.”
The design of the new model is sleek and stylish, combining the lines of a modern crossover with the robust appeal of a typical SUV.
Muscular, modern and packed with technology, the new Nissan X-Trail originally made its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Building upon the brand’s 4x4 heritage and crossover leadership, the new X-Trail re-defines the compact SUV segment, its makers say.
While expanding its predecessor’s ‘go-anywhere’ credibility, new X-Trail takes inspiration from Nissan’s popular crossovers – Qashqai, Juke and Murano – to create an impressive, all-weather, highly-capable, modern family vehicle.
The X-Trail is equipped with the latest generation NissanConnect in-car navigation, information and entertainment system. Drivers will also benefit from a suite of assistance features.
Prices start from BD7,995.
