Michael Steer enjoyed a comfortable win in the fourth Volvo World Golf Challenge Bahrain Qualifier at the Royal Golf Club with a stableford score of 45 points, giving him a full six point lead over runner up Andy Love who scored 39 points. Sam Jong Kim narrowly clinched third place with 37 points on count back.
Nearest the pin side contests on holes 2 and 16 were won by Abdulhadi Al Noaimi and Khalid Salem respectively while a hole in one prize of a Volvo V40, sponsored by Kanoo Vehicle Leasing and AXA Insurance, went unclaimed on hole 16.
A full field took part in the competition which was played on the Royal Golf Club’s challenging Mongomerie championship course.
