LOVERS of Indian vegetarian food have a treat in store with the opening of Dosa Plaza at the Ashrafs premises in Hoora.

The South Indian brand ‘with the world’s widest menu in dosas’ has launched its first restaurant in Bahrain with delightful varieties that include the tasty pancakes with Chinese and Mexican fillings.

Ashrafs executive director Amal Almoayyed, the brain behind bringing Dosa Plaza to Bahrain, is excited about the marque and its offerings.

Mrs Almoayyed said: “Dosa Plaza-Bahrain is a restaurant boasting warm interiors and lively branding that resembles the quality of the food served. The prices are also fixed keeping in mind the massive Indian population for whom we are serving a wide range of quality food at a reasonable rate.”

The 3,000 sq/ft restaurant can seat 120 diners comfortably and it has a banquet hall which is open for birthday parties, conferences and private events. It is also starting an indoor and outdoor catering service, to try and entice the taste buds of Bahrainis and expats alike.

The brand has more than 15 years of expertise in serving 104 types of delicious and yummy dosas.

The 100 per cent vegetarian multi-cuisine family restaurant includes South Indian flavours, Chinese, Punjabi and Mumbai Chaat. There is also a range of juices, mocktails, faloodas and ice creams.

The brand was launched by entrepreneur Ganapathy T Nadar, popularly known as Prem Ganapathy in western India. He is currently based in Dubai and has been operating Dosa Plaza Restaurant worldwide from Dubai for more than three years.
