BATELCO’s fourth annual Motor Show, organised by the company’s Youth Marketing Team, will take place on Friday, at Batelco’s Hamala headquarters from 9am to 6pm.

For the 2015 show, Motory will be the Platinum sponsor and will display 10 of its cars on the day. Other key sponsors include the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Euro Motors, International Motor Show, Arabia Motors and National Motors.

The 2015 show will build on the success of previous years and feature various activities targeting motor sport fans and the public, including families.

These activities will include a car show, followed by awards for the best three cars in each category, a motor bike show, followed also by awards for the best three machines in each category.

Visitors at the event can also get involved in the voting with a special category, Best of the Best, where the audience gets the chance to vote for the best car and best bike. The winners in each category will receive $1,000 (BD376).

A music show featuring local band Likwid and a DJ plus with be staged alongside added entertainment for children with activities, food and beverages to enhance the fun. For gaming fans, Vortex Gaming Centre will hold a video game competition during the day. A number of stalls for sponsors, which are mainly car dealers, will be set up and Batelco’s mobile shop will also be on-site.

The car categories scheduled to participate in the show are Classical cars, Classic customised cars, 4X4 cars and Trucks, in addition to 4/6/8 Cylinder (sport and salon cars). The motorcycle categories cover Scooters, Sports, Metric, Touring, HD Classic, HD Vrod and Customised Bikes.

Batelco Group general manager media relations Ahmed Al Janahi said that this year’s show is an official activity as part of the Bahrain International Circuit’s Race Fever campaign, leading up to the coming 2015 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

“Once again, we invite everyone for free to visit the best motor show in the region and enjoy a day out full of fun in a family-friendly place. Also, visitors may share their experience through taking photos of their favourite cars and motor bikes and sending them to family members or friends,” added Mr Al Janahi.

Among the many attractions at the event is a free raffle draw for visitors to the show, giving them the chance to win prizes.
