Sam Jong Kim and playing partner Abdulaziz Ahmed narrowly won the penultimate round of the six-week long VIVA Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club on countback after three pairings all achieved nett scores of 36.
Wayne Giles and Khalifa Al Merisi were runners-up in the closely-fought contest while Earl Fountain and Ebrahim Al Hashel took third place, pushing them into second place in the overall order of merit. Husband and wife Rob and Debbie Lane continue to top the order of merit but with only four points separating the top three places, the title is still up for grabs in the final round.
Rashid Ahmed and Khalid Al Omran won prizes for coming closest to the pin on holes 12 and 16, respectively, in the 3 x 3 stableford competition.
The club’s tournament co-ordinator Sohail Singh gave away the prizes.
