A ‘Challenge Cancer’ walkathon will take place on October 30 at 5pm at the Dohat Arad Park & Sanctuary in Muharraq. It is being organised by the Bahrain Cancer Society.

The Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF) is hosting its annual Poppy Ball at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain Hotel, Manama, on November 6.

Visiting UK war veterans, the Chelsea Pensioners, will be guests of honour and will attend the Armistice Day Ceremony at the Christian Cemetery in Manama.

The dress code is evening/cocktail dresses for ladies and black tie or national dress for men. Tickets cost BD30 per person, which includes a buffet, welcome drinks and selected beverages.

Members of Bahrain Rugby Football Club are paying BD5 to test their knowledge and win donated prizes to raise money for The Palm Association which helps needy families in the kingdom.

Quiz sheets will go on sale before the Australia v Wales clash on Saturday and when France take on Ireland on Sunday and will be collected at full time.

The Royal Golf Club will be showing all the live action of the Rugby World Cup 2015 and everyone is welcome to come along and watch. Private rooms are available for group bookings with a range of food and beverage packages available. Alternatively, enjoy the action in the Repartee Lounge.
