Dune London, a UK luxury footwear and accessories brand, recently reopened its City Centre Bahrain store after an elaborate refurbishment.
The event tallied successfully with the launch of its SS15 collection integrating shoes, boots and accessory styles aimed specifically for the region.
The 1,528sq/ft store now has a runway in the sky with interchangeable footwear affixed to the ceiling. This funky unique idea is an attraction itself and shoppers can now catwalk their way to the cash counter feeling a touch like Alice in Wonderland.
The open and inviting space uses linear shelving displaying all the latest trends for men and women with bright focused lighting to catch all the details.
The question remains … who is going to change those ‘shoes in the sky’ because that will be no easy fe(a)t!
Shopper Dr Lesley Al Jishi, visiting from across the Causeway, decided to snatch up three gorgeous pairs from the new collection last week. She said: “I love being in the kingdom. I am a medical director of a private hospital in Saudi Arabia although my children go to the British School of Bahrain here. After I drop them at school I try to spend some time shopping.”
Lesley purchased a pair of black lace high heels for BD51 that perfectly reflected the Victorian trend seen on all the celebs and A-listers. She also bought some glittery-blue sequined espadrilles for a glam statement piece and a pair of tasseled velvet pointy penny loafers for BD36. These are smart footwear picks that will have her covered for any occasion.
Another shopper admired a brown riding boot that could be worn with a pair of tights, over a slim jean or under a skirt for a feminine sexy look. There is just something about a pair of boots that can ignite ‘fashionista fire’ because there were multiple admirers wanting the same pair! Pssst … they also come in black.
