A very
famous golf coach, Harvey Penick, once said: “Nothing you do in the swing should be at the sacrifice
of balance.”
A fantastic piece of advice for all players looking to find consistency in their game. Good balance
throughout the swing gives you a better chance of making solid strikes from all manner of lies.
On the range, try hitting a ‘7’ iron with your feet close together with a smooth swing. The aim is
to find your most comfortable tempo of swing where you don’t fall over. Use this easy tempo for all
clubs and out on to the course.
