SHOPPERS have helped City Centre Bahrain make a significant contribution to enhance the lives of children under Al Sanabel Orphans Care this summer.
Proceeds were collected from six charity boxes spread across the mall and from a successful LEGO City event staged at the mall and together they raised BD15,416.
Mall visitors, who contributed BD1 to the organisation at the LEGO charity station, received a sticker with their names plus a special message to the orphans. The stickers were used to create a giant C, displayed at the mall throughout the summer campaign.
LEGO and DUPLO workstations were also set up at the Land of Creativity, where children of all ages, also donated BD1 towards the cause and created models. Participants were rewarded with a ‘Junior Master Builder’ diploma.
“This initiative enabled us to put smiles on more than 450 children’s faces and provide assistance in running Al Sanabel Orphans Care’s social, health and educational activities,” said Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, senior mall manager. “I would like to extend our thanks to our loyal customers and the parents of our summer campaign participants for their contributions in helping to enhance these children’s lives.”
