EK Kanoo unveiled the new 2016 Lexus LX 570 at an event held at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa … complemented by an elaborate light-painting show, writes Kristian Harrison.
The latest model is a premium three-row luxury utility vehicle that combines the brute strength of a V8 with the driveability of an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The restyled front-end, while still retaining its muscular outlook, wears the Lexus signature spindle grille, framed by satin chrome trim and complemented by LED headlights, turn signals and fog lights.

A new driving mode called ‘Customise’ helps the LX achieve extremely stable and adaptive performance both on-and-off the road. To further increase safety, the LX is available with the Lexus Safety System+, which includes 10 airbags, Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Adaptive Hi-Beam System and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
A system of four cameras that monitor conditions around the vehicle and an under-floor view that allows the driver to check both conditions under the vehicle and tyre positions while driving off-road completes the suite of features.
Inside the car, navigating the various infotainment features is simplified with the Remote Touch Interface. The 12.3-inch navigation centre screen and 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display screen provides driver information without having to take hands from the wheel or eyes from the road. Four-zone independent control also allows each section of the car to have its own temperature without need for argument.
The 5.7-litre V8 engine packs 362bhp and can be enjoyed in a variety of drive modes, such as Normal, Eco, Comfort, Sport S and Sport S+, and each one can be tweaked to the driver’s liking. The LX 570 is available now priced BD43,000.
