Britain’s Jamie Elson claimed the title in the eighth King Hamad Golf Championship at Royal Golf Club in Riffa. The 32-year-old finished on top with 210 after rounds of 69, 69 and 72.
Defending champion Andrew Marshal, who had earlier this year won the 2015 Wealth Design Invitational Golf Tournament, finished second, a shot behind Elson with rounds of 72, 69 and 70.
Teenage sensation Jakub Hrindaw was third with a total of 217. Like Marshall, the 15-year-old finished on 72 in the first round and followed it with rounds of 72 and 74.
More than 100 players from Bahrain, GCC, Asia, Europe and South Africa took part in this annual event. Sultan Al Hakam was the best Bahraini in the event. He finished 16th overall with a total of 225 (80, 73, 72).
