Mercedes-Benz has started the year off with a bang by announcing the introduction of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class in Bahrain. Designers say that after many years of innovating, developing and meticulously examining every detail, the revolutionary sporty hatchback shows a new shift in direction for Mercedes-Benz.
The powerful A-Class aims to ‘bridge the gap of demands and expectations of the young generation’.
Motoring reviewers say the model is better not just in terms of looks but also features a hugely-improved interior, loads of up-to-date technology and a competitive engine range.
It is smooth to drive which is a big bonus for potential buyers as the engine is geared for steady driving within the city and highways. With sporty AMG badges, body kits and stiffer suspension, the higher-spec A-Class models are aimed at those looking for a car that’s powerful and fun to drive.
“With the new A-Class we have reinvented the compact segment, taking everything you loved about the A-Class – its spaciousness, fuel efficiency and functionality – only this time around, it is designed to look and feel even more like a Mercedes-Benz,” said Graeme Newport, general manager of Al Haddad Motors.
“With its dash improved, the blending sporty reflects the elegance of the bigger Mercedes-Benz – wavy surfaces, soft-touch leather and the ultimate face-lift – the all-new A-class is designed to keep the younger customers happy.”
Standard equipment includes USB and Bluetooth connectivity, alloy wheels and sports seats, aimed at making the car look attractive and eye-catchy. Moving up to the Engineered by AMG trim, the A-Class looks even better as it includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a different diamond grille, xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights.
ESP and Collision Prevention Assistance comes as standard to safeguard and minimise any mishap. There’s also pre-safe, which prepares the driver and the car for an impending accident and plenty of other high-tech kit further enabling driving safety.
