The inaugural Bahrain Food Festival is being held in Block 338 in Adliya and will run until tomorrow.
More than 40 outlets are taking part in the event organised by the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority, including businesses and concepts related to the food industry such as restaurants, hotels, nutrition, kitchen appliance dealers and more.
The festival runs daily from 5pm-11pm including a live cooking session, magic shows and other entertainment activities.
Al Riwaq Art Space is hosting the solo exhibition of Iraqi artist Ghassan Muhsin, titled ‘Abstract Expressionism’. He uses gilded canvases and sensuous colour to produce decorated landscapes of oasis, deserts and seas.

The 9th Annual Jawad Mini Marathon will take place at the Jawad Dome in Buidaya. It is being held to spread awareness about Sickle Cell disease and all proceeds will be donated to the Bahrain Society for Sickle Cell Anaemia Patient Care.
The Indian Club is hosting a ‘Family Fun Day in the Desert’ which will be held at AAbex’s ‘Desert Pearl Camp’ in Sakhir from 8am through to midnight. This will include a day of activities and family hospitality, including sports, kids’ entertainment, a fashion show featuring the inaugural Desert Queen 2016 beauty pageant, a DJ, barbecue and refreshments.

The St Christopher’s School Charity Auction Ball will take place from 7pm at the Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa in Seef.
As well as featuring art pieces from students and celebrated local artists, there will be some very unique ‘acts of kindness’ from staff members up for auction.
All funds raised will go to supporting children whose lives and education have been devastated by the war in Syria.
