Halit Ergenç, pictured right, an opera singer from Turkey, will perform at the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Centre for Culture and Research tomorrow from 8pm.

Dutch street theatre performer The Yelling Kitchen Prince will also perform tomorrow at 4pm and 7pm at the Nakheel Centre in Saar, on Friday at 5pm and 8pm in Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park in Hidd, and on Saturday at 11am and 5pm at Bahrain Fort.

Portuguese Fado singer Liana, pictured above, will perform at La Fontaine Centre for Contemporary Art on Friday at 8pm. Tickets cost BD20 for the concert, or BD30 for the concert and dinner.

Gregory Porter, pictured above, an American awarding-winning jazz, soul and blues singer and songwriter who recently claimed his second International Jazz Artist of the Year gong, will perform at 8.30pm at Arad Fort on Saturday.

Respected Arab singer Kadim Al Sahir will perform at Arad Fort on March 9 at 8.30pm.

‘Kaash - Akram Khan’ brings a five-strong cast of international performers to Arad Fort to build bridges between the worlds of contemporary dance and the Indian classical dance form ‘Kathak’ on March 11, also at 8.30pm.

Image Theatre’s The Best of Image will take place at the Cultural Hall on March 11 and 12 from 5pm.

Italian theatre company L’Orchestra Di Piazza Vittorio will present a production of Carmen Secondo at 8.30pm on March 17 at Arad Fort.

The Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales will be performed at the Alumni Club on March 18 and 19 at 10.30am and 4am.

Arab Poetry Day will be celebrated at the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Centre for Culture and Research on March 21 at 6.30pm.

Grammy-award winning artist Seal, pictured above, who has sold 30 million records worldwide, will perform on March 24 from 8.30pm at Arad Fort. He is known for hits including Kiss From a Rose, Crazy and Killer.

The 17th Bahrain International Book Fair will be held from March 24 to April 3 at the Bahrain National Museum.

Hotel Paradiso, pictured above, will be performed at the Cultural Hall on March 27 and 28 from 8pm.

Acclaimed Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela will host an acoustic performance at Arad Fort on March 31 at 8.30pm.

British circus theatre company Pirates of the Carabina will stage its Flown show, featuring acrobats, aerialists, stunts and musicians at Arad Fort from April 7-9, with shows starting at 7.30pm.

The Crowne Wedding Show 2016 will take place at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain hotel in Manama on March 10 (10am-9pm) and 11 (3pm-9pm).

Two charity football tournaments will be taking place in March and April at the Bahrain Rugby Football Club in Janabiya.

First up is an under-12 tournament on Friday. From midday onwards, 10 teams (consisting of eight from Bahrain and two from Saudi Arabia) will battle it out in a group stage before gunning for glory in the finals stage.

On April 22, there will be two tournaments for the under-10 and under-14 age categories. There will also be various other entertainment activities, t-shirt sales, a raffle with prizes donated by chief sponsors NMDC, Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain and Hussain Harmony, and more.

Entry to all tournaments is free for guests, but donations will be gratefully accepted. All money raised will go to Nepal, and the event is being exclusively run by volunteers.

Reggae star Jimmy Cliff will open the festival of off-track entertainment at the 2016 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

The Jamaican Grammy-winning musician will be performing on April 1 at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.

Cliff is best known for songs such as Wonderful World, Beautiful People, Many Rivers to Cross, You Can Get It If You Really Want, The Harder They Come, Reggae Night, Hakuna Matata, and I Can See Clearly Now from the film Cool Runnings.

The music continues with world famous DJ pair Axwell ^ Ingrosso.

The duo’s first performance was in 2014 at the June 8 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City, and since then the former members of Swedish House have enjoyed global success with a string of huge chart hits.

They are best known for tracks including number one charting single Sun is Shining and Top 10 iTunes tracks Something New, This Time and On My Way. They are listed in the Top 20 DJs in the world according to DJ Magazine and have become one of the most sought-after acts for the biggest festivals and clubs across the world. Finally, global megastar Avicii will be the headline artist of the weekend as he performs on the Saturday night, two years after he had to pull out of the same slot for health reasons.

Avicii is a twice Grammy-nominated artist and producer, who has enjoyed a number of hits across the world with tracks such as Wake Me Up (which went four-times platinum and hit number one in 81 countries) and Hey Brother. He has consistently been ranked as one of the top ten DJs in the world, according to DJ Magazine, and has won a string of awards including two MTV Music Awards, two World Music Awards and one Billboard Music Award.

The Swede has released two globally acclaimed albums to date, both of which have topped the charts around the world. His latest single is Broken Arrows, from his most recent album Stories, and it has already achieved sales of more than 1.5 million since its release late last year.
