Les O’Brien won the men’s section of the Royal Golf Club’s annual Senior Open golf tournament with a nett score of 65 while his wife, Margaret O’Brien, won the ladies’ section with a score of 72 nett. Sanjay Lal was the men’s runner-up with a score of 69 nett.
Around 30 golfers completed in the individual strokeplay competition which was open to those aged 50 years and over only.

Men: 1st Les O’Brien (65 nett), 2nd Sanjay Lal (69). Ladies: 1st Margaret O’Brien (72). 2s Club: Barry Hobday (hole 7), Steven Hill (hole 12) & Rob Lane (hole 16).
