Lights shine on Janahi as he takes the prize

Yusuf Janahi narrowly won the Monday Night Lights competition at the Royal Golf Club with a score of 36. David Wales clinched the runners-up spot on count back with a score of 37 and Khalifa Al Merisi came third with the same score.


The individual strokeplay competition was played under floodlights on the back 9 holes of the club’s Montgomerie championship course. The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Members’ Lounge.


The Monday Night Lights 9 hole competitions are open to club members and to non-members with an official handicap at a cost of just BD20 per night green fee, plus a BD2 entry fee.


The competitions tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start. Non-handicap golfers are also welcome to play and can use their scores to work towards achieving an official handicap.
